Ten reasons to adopt an adult cat

  1. Adult cats don’t use your feet for chew toys at 3 am.
  2. Adult cats don’t bounce off the walls knocking over your favorite knick knacks.
  3. Adult cats don’t need to be fed 3 times a day.
  4. Adult cats won’t annoy the heck out of your older cat.
  5. Adult cat’s personalities are already formed so you know what you’re getting: sedate lap cat vs. kitten in an adult body, aloof cat or “in your face” cat – you get the picture. “Molding” a cat’s personality is kind of like trying to “mold” your boyfriend’s personality – it can’t be done.
  6. EVERYBODY wants a little kitten and sometimes there are not enough to go around. Be different.
  7. A kitten quickly becomes an adult and then you have an adult cat anyway.
  8. Want a declawed cat? There are plenty of already declawed adult cats.
  9. Adult cats wait quietly in cages for that one special person to look them in the eyes, see the love that’s there and say, “I’ll take you.”
  10. Just take a look at some of the beautiful adult cats waiting to be adopted. It’s not too hard to imagine what they were like as kittens…
