JerseyCats was incorporated in 2010 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) volunteer-run, foster based rescue dedicated to improving the lives of homeless cats and kittens through rescue and adoption.
JerseyCats has simple and clear objectives to help cats:
- Homing – finding homes for cats in need by facilitating foster care and adoption
- Reducing overpopulation – supporting and encouraging the spay/neuter of cats
- Outreach – improving people’s understanding of cats and their care through community education
Who are the JerseyCats?
JerseyCats strives to find homes for friendly, adoptable cats in need. We rescue homeless cats and kittens from unsafe or undesirable situations, predominantly in Jersey City, Hoboken Union City and Weehawken.
Because we do not have a shelter facility and have limited resources, JerseyCats cannot accept owner surrenders.
