First Bennifer, then Brangelina, now FiGi!
Andrew and Sue were looking for a companion for their recently adopted cat GiGi. Andrew was partial to calico kitties, and when he saw Fiona’s face on Petfinder, he knew he had to meet her. We arranged for a meeting at Fiona’s foster home, where Andrew and Sue spent some time with Fiona and she did her best to charm them. They met a few other cats after that, but lucky Fiona was the lady they chose to welcome into their home.
Fiona was rescued from a back yard in Edison with her three gorgeous kittens, Gypsy, Jasper and Finn. Almost feral, she spent many, many months at Kate’s Kitty Jungle where Kate worked hard to socialize her. It took Fiona a long time to learn to trust people, and though she eventually bonded with Kate she was very shy around strangers. Andrew and Sue were patient with Fiona, and gave her lots of time to adjust to her new home. Within a matter of weeks she was smitten with Andrew and Sue and ready to meet GiGi.
All went well and the two girls are happily sharing their home. Fiona, nicknamed FiFi by her new guardians, loves to play and keeps the more docile GiGi on her toes! They’ve become such a pair that Andrew and Sue have dubbed them FiGi!
Andrew says of FiFi “her bountiful energy and affection for all is simply amazing. Even in this steaming hot weather, this girl is ready to play – any time and any place – she is game. I thought cats usually sleep 18 hours a day but Fi is the opposite, she naps a little and then she is off and running ready to play…She is very easy to love and she never ceases to surprise us with her playful antics… She is simply precious to us and she is very much part of our family”.
We are so happy that FiFi found such a wonderful forever home. Thank you to Andrew and Sue for adopting Fiona. Thanks to Carole who helped us rescue Fiona and her kittens last year. And finally a huge thanks to Kate and Donna for volunteering so much of their time to socialize this beautiful girl, and transform her from a scared cat cowering in the back of her cage to this lucky girl happily lazing about in sunny windows in her new forever home.
